About the Author
Lilia Hernandez Chung was born in Manila but has lived in Stanford, California since 1961. She is a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas and Syracuse University, New York where she received a doctorate in Humanities. Since then, she has spent her time, rearing a family of three, teaching, and writing. Among her publications are the biography of Jovita Fuentes, recently translated into Tagalog and Facts in Fiction, A Study of Peninsular Prose Fiction: 1859-1897. Lilia Hernandez Chung has also published fiction and is currently working on a collection of short stories.
Married to mathematician, Kai Lai Chung, and mother of three children, Lilia describes herself as "constantly busy but somehow managing to dream a little and to write."
